The Mississippi Early Learning Alliance (MELA) is proud to announce our inaugural Big Voices for Little Children luncheon—a signature fundraising event taking place on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, in Jackson, Miss.
This special event is rooted in MELA’s belief that the first five years of a child’s life shape the entire trajectory of their future—and, in turn, the future of our state. As a coalition working to strengthen the systems that support Mississippi’s youngest children and their families, we are thrilled to host a gathering dedicated to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Why It Matters
When we invest in early childhood, we invest in long-term success for our children, our communities, and our economy. MELA brings together partners, resources, and collaborative solutions to create stronger, more equitable systems that support children from prenatal to age five. This luncheon will help raise critical funds to sustain and expand this important work across Mississippi.
Guests will enjoy a seated lunch and hear directly from MELA about how we’re advancing programs and policies that support infant and toddler education, care, well-being, and health. This event is a chance to celebrate progress, share our vision for the future, and invite others to join us in making that vision a reality.
