In preparation for the Week of the Young Child, MELA and the MS Forum for the Future hosted two virtual training sessions for child care providers and early childhood professionals on engaging legislators and community leaders through site visits. Our spotlight speakers, Lesia Daniel-Hollingshead and Penny Mansell walked participants through experiences hosting site visits and lessons learned.
These sessions are designed make it easy for you to share your amazing early childhood programs with your legislators, mayor, city council, and local business leaders so they know HOW IMPORTANT child care, early intervention, Head Start, PreK, and other early childhood programs are during Week of the Young Child activities across the state.
