This working group seeks to create recommendations for how to build a Quality Support System for childcare that works for Mississippi children, families, and childcare providers. A team of 20-25 childcare providers will serve as the primary authors of the final recommendations that will be shared with the Mississippi Department of Human Services, though they will receive guidance and support from other early childhood professionals, as well as input from Mississippi parents via focus group. The intention is to create recommendations for a Quality Support System that are rooted in the lived experiences of providers, family needs and preferences, and research-based best practices.
